By Melanie Becker-Donovan, The Roswell Daily Record — The magic of Arendelle is coming to Roswell as Way Way Off-Broadway Theatre Company (WWOB) presents Disney’s “Frozen: The Broadway Musical.”
Based on the popular Disney animated film, the musical follows sisters Elsa and Anna as Elsa’s extraordinary powers plunge their kingdom into an eternal winter. Featuring familiar songs such as “Let It Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “For the First Time in Forever,” the stage production brings the story of family, love and acceptance to a live audience.
The production is directed by WWOB founders Managing Director Tony Souza and Artistic Director Summer Souza, who is portraying Elsa and newcomer Ollie Love taking on the role of Anna.
“One of the biggest challenges with a show like Frozen is that audiences already have a very clear picture of what the magic is supposed to look like,” stated Summer Souza. “We’re taking something people have seen accomplished through animation and figuring out how to make it happen live, right in front of them.”

WWOB is a local nonprofit organization that has produced theatrical performances in Roswell since 2015. “We believe that the arts are an important part of Roswell’s culture and we continue to give local performers in the southeastern area an opportunity to perform in local shows,” Souza stated.
The company produces three main-stage shows each year, along with an all-youth production for the community. Its productions offer opportunities for local residents to participate in live theater, with auditions for main-stage shows open to the community. Age requirements vary by production.
Following the conclusion of “Frozen” on Nov. 15, the company will take a short break before beginning preparations for its 2027 spring production of “Shrek the Musical.” Auditions are expected to begin in January.
Performances take place at ENMU-R PAC on two weekends, Nov. 6–8 and 13-15, with Fridays and Saturdays performances beginning at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
