New Mexico’s next governor is looking for new talent to fill out hundreds of governor-appointed staff and volunteer nominated positions across state departments, boards and commissions.

After defeating Republican Gregg Hull in the race for governor, Democrat Deb Haaland launched a transition website to accept applications from persons interested in joining her administration.

For those looking to apply for a position, you must attach a resume and submit a typed cover letter to enter the application portal. From there, applicants can select among dozens of cabinet-level and other state agencies and jobs from cabinet secretary to constituent services worker. Applicants can express an interest in multiple positions at once.

Haaland and other statewide officials will take office on January 1, 2027.
