Beer steins will be raised — and held aloft as long as possible — when Rio Rancho’s Oktoberfest returns to Sandoval County Administration Park on Sept. 19, giving local families a full day of German-inspired fun without leaving the city.

The Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting the festival Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the park, 7211 Idalia Rd. NE.

The lineup includes live music, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, arts and crafts vendors, and a kids’ zone, plus best-dressed and stein-holding contests for those channeling their inner lederhosen. Kids get in free with a paying adult.

Presale tickets are available online ahead of the event. The chamber is coordinating the festival alongside sponsors including Nusenda Credit Union, Groundworks and WM.
