Corrales runners will lace up for a milestone this month: the 30th annual Corrales Ditch Run winds along the village’s dirt acequias and tree-lined ditch banks Sunday, Sept. 13, with Sandia Mountain views built into every stride.

Race day kicks off with the 10K at 8:30 a.m., the 5K at 8:45 a.m. and a 1K Fun Run for kids at 9:45 a.m., according to the Kiwanis Club of Corrales, which organizes the event in partnership with Dave Gives Back.

Proceeds fund two causes: Search & Rescue operations through Dave Gives Back and Kamp Kiwanis, a free five-day summer camp for local kids who couldn’t otherwise afford one. Last year’s race set records for runners, sponsors and donors, raising $5,000 more than 2024.

Post-race festivities include a Search & Rescue technical challenge, rock climbing walls, an ice cream truck, food from Hannah and Nate’s and Village Pizza, and — for finishers 21 and older — a free beer or cider.
