Investigators with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department asked for the public’s help twice this week to locate persons reported missing from the East Mountains.
On Thursday July 16, BCSO said they were “urgently requesting” the public’s help to locate a 35-year old man who was last seen near Sandia Crest Road on July 14. On Friday, the department cancelled the alert saying he had been located.
But BCSO appears to still be searching for 16-year-old Karla Vasquez who dissapeared from a home on Mora Road in Tijeras. “Due to the circumstances of Karla’s disappearance, law enforcement is concerned for her safety,” BCSO said in a media alert. A picture was not provided but Karla is described as being 4’11” tall, 145 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
