Your Friday evening plans just got an upgrade. The Bernalillo Farmers Market opens today at Rotary Park Pavilion, kicking off its weekly run with local growers, bakers, beekeepers and more — all under one roof, every Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.

The market is devoted to supporting local agriculture and food producers from Bernalillo and surrounding communities, with an emphasis on affordability and accessibility. Vendors will offer locally grown fruits and vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, locally raised meats, baked goods, jams, pickles, salsa and honey.

Shoppers using SNAP/EBT benefits can take advantage of Double Up Food Bucks New Mexico and WIC, stretching food dollars further on fresh, locally sourced products. The market also participates in the New Mexico Fresh Local program.
