All 5 NM governor candidates head to Rio Rancho for Tuesday forum

Five candidates running for New Mexico governor face off Tuesday night in Rio Rancho — and you can submit your questions in advance.

All five candidates running for New Mexico governor will share a stage Tuesday night in Rio Rancho, giving Sandoval County residents — including registered independents — a front-row seat to a cross-party primary forum.

The Governor Candidate Forum begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Rio Rancho Public Schools’ Training Center Room, 500 Laser Road NE. The nonpartisan League of Women Voters of Central New Mexico will moderate the event, sponsored by the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Three Republicans — former Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull, Duke Rodriguez and Doug Turner — and two Democrats — former U.S. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman — are all confirmed to attend, the Chamber confirmed. 

A District 60 Republican Primary Forum featuring incumbent Rep. Joshua Hernandez and challenger Zac Anaya kicks off at 5 p.m. in the same location, moderated by the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce.
