Bernalillo County is offering free dumping weekends and spring green waste days at the East Mountain Transfer Station for county residents living outside Albuquerque city limits.
Free Dumping Weekends are set for May 17-18 and June 21-22, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can dispose of eligible waste free of charge.
Following the free weekends, Spring Green Waste Days are being held until May 4, also from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, residents can drop off green waste such as leaves, branches and brush at no cost. All loads must be covered for transport.
The East Mountain Transfer Station is located at 711 Highway 333 in Tijeras. The events are sponsored by Bernalillo County and a New Mexico Department of Transportation Que Linda grant. For more information, call (505) 281-9110.
