Student Journalists.

We believe that building the next generation of journalists is critical to sustaining local news.

Each semester, we pair a journalism student from a New Mexico college or university journalism program with a mentor journalists in our newsroom to cover a beat together.

Our annual student journalism program is supported by a generous grant from Singleton Schreiber and other donors through the Citizen Media Group, a local nonprofit working to expand opportunities for journalism in New Mexico.

Our summer student internship program is supported by the New Mexico Local News Fund.
