Today is Monday, Sept. 15.

Debates over gun rights and the freedom of speech are overwhelming national headlines and social media feeds, but a little-noticed case on both issues out of Moriarty is just as important.

Moriarty police arrested a 70-year old woman for protesting on a public sidewalk outside of a gun show there in February. Now she and the ACLU are suing.

AND, one of the state’s largest and most troubled nursing home chains is declaring bankruptcy saying the cost to compensate victims of poor care is too much. But, it turns out that their parent company raked in millions in government Covid grants to ramp up staffing, they gave their executives big bonuses and never met federal staffing guidelines.
