Those interested in partying over Halloween weekend have an additional resource in their efforts to keep things safe.
The “Take a Ride on Us” program returns for the holiday, offering up to 2,500 discounted Uber rides to area residents. Anyone interested in participating may open the app, go to “vouchers,” and enter the code HALLOW26 to receive up to $10 off two trips. The vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The discount is limited to Uber rides and does not apply to Uber Eats orders or cover driver tips.
“Residents can enjoy the holiday responsibly, knowing they have a reliable ride home after an evening of Halloween fun,” according to a news release announcing the program. The rides are available from 10 a.m. Friday, through 2 a.m. Sunday.
“Take a Ride on Us” is a public-private partnership created by Cumulus Media Albuquerque. Sponsors include Bernalillo, Sandoval and Santa Fe counties, Glasheen Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Since its 2017 launch, the release states, the program has provided more than 84,000 safe rides in the Albuquerque metro area, helping to reduce impaired driving and keep local roads safe during holidays and special events.
