By Kevin Hendricks — Corrales residents now decide which straw-stuffed creation rules the roost. Voting is open in the 2026 Corrales MainStreet Scarecrow Contest.

Over 20 entries from businesses, families and neighborhoods stand along the village’s main drag and nearby side streets, according to Corrales MainStreet. Voters can cast ballots online before Oct. 30.

The field runs from the Corrales Fire Department’s “Emergency Repair” to Ex Novo Brewing Company’s “The Headless Brewer and Keg Pony.” Desert Ritual House of Medicine went with a “Spacrow.” Most entries sit directly on Corrales Road, so a self-guided drive or stroll is the easiest way to size up the competition.

Winners will be announced Oct. 31 at Trunk or Treat. Top scarecrows earn custom trophies made by Iron Anvil, and prize money goes out the following week.
