Last week’s Planning and Zoning Board hearing on the Lomas Encantadas rezoning ended with a delay, a shouted objection from the audience and a remark from board Chairman Scottie Richardson โ made as residents filed out โ that a councilor found troubling enough to address publicly two days later. District 3 Councilor Bob Tyler stood at Thursday’s Governing Body meeting and apologized to residents on behalf of the city. “Those aren’t the type of board members that I want serving on our boards,” he said. The developer asked for the delay to clarify what it called “misinformation” in the community. The new hearing date is Oct. 13.ย
