Bernalillo is tuning up for a weekend that’s part concert, part block party and all community. The Town of Bernalillo is hosting “Música y Mas” at Rotary Park Saturday, Aug. 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, packing the schedule with live music, culture and — if the flyer’s promise holds — some seriously good vibes.
Saturday runs from noon to 10 p.m. with De Luz, Mariachi Amigos, Brenda Ortega, Micheal Rascon and Second to Last taking turns on stage. Sunday scales back slightly, noon to 8 p.m., featuring Mike Romero Y La Raza, Tripple-X Band, Gonzalo and Str8 Shot.
The event is billed as a fun, family-friendly celebration, and organizers describe it as a chance for locals and visitors alike to soak up two days of Nuevomexicano music and hometown pride under the Sandoval County sky.
