Your weekend: Bob Dylan, Shrek, Route 66 and reggae under the desert sky. Dylan plays the Sandia Amphitheater Friday if you want to catch a living legend across the river. Back in Rio Rancho, THE BLOCK has live music and screens a classic movie. The Cabezon Shop Local Market runs Saturday morning, Route 66 turns 100 with free library talks, Speed Racer screens free Friday night in Bernalillo and the Corrales Growers’ Market reopens Sunday. See the full guide โ†’

The Governing Body takes up the Rancho Alegria subdivision near Northern and Rainbow boulevards, a purchase of 200 acre-feet of water rights and the Maverik gas station (more on that below). Read what’s on the table and how to weigh in โ†’

They have arguments about traffic, water wells and elementary school proximity. The developer has answers for all of them. Tonight, the council decides. Read the full story before you tune in โ†’
