2026 Rumble on the Rio (Saturday 27, Sports)

Albuquerque’s own Elevated Roller Derby hosts this year’s Rumble on the Rio, a two-day extravaganza of fast-paced, hard-hitting sports action. On Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., the tournament promises 10 roller derby games featuring visiting leagues Treasure Valley Roller Derby (Boise, ID), Chuco Town Roller Derby (El Paso, TX), CoRAGEoUS (Salida, CO) and FoCo Roller Derby (Fort Collins, CO). Spectators can expect nonstop gameplay, a lively crowd, vendors and food trucks. It all goes down at The Armory (600 Wyoming Blvd. NE). One day general admission is $25, and two-day admission is $40. Blooming With Pride – Adult Low Sensory Evening (Saturday 27, Outdoors)

The ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden (2601 Central Ave. NW) is hosting Blooming With Pride, an adult low-sensory night at the Botanic Garden. This event was created especially for neurodivergent adults, those with sensory sensitivities, or anyone who prefers a calmer alternative to traditional Pride events. Head to the BioPark on Saturday, June 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. for an evening of quiet beauty and connection. For this special evening, the garden is offering a low-stimulation space where LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies can celebrate at their own pace with a silent disco in the Showroom, plant and bug themed arts and crafts, quiet zones, giant games on Festival Green and more. Dirty Heads: So Glad You Made It (Saturday 27, Music)

Since 2001, SoCal’s Dirty Heads have trafficked in that imitable reggae/hip hop/rock style that dominated so many stoner-boy frat parties a generation ago (see also: 311, Sublime, Pepper). Now the band is pulling its smoke-filled tour bus into Sandia Resort & Casino Amphitheater (30 Rainbow Rd.) for the So Glad You Made It Tour. It happens Saturday, June 27 at 8 p.m. Tickets (etix.com/ticket/p/88812960/dirty-headsso-glad-you-made-it-albuquerque-sandia-casino-amphitheater) will run you $66.50 to $111.50.

Breaking Bad Trivia Night (Saturday 27, Games)

Are you the one who knocks? Albuquerque Food Park (newly located at 2113 Eubank Blvd. NE) is hosting a Breaking Bad Trivia Night on Saturday, June 27 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you consider yourself a superfan, get ready for a night of trivia, costumes, food, vendors and unforgettable fun inspired by Albuquerque’s most iconic television series! There are prizes for the best Breaking Bad costumes, screenings of classic episodes, vendors, plenty of food and, as advertised, a trivia contest. Admission is free.

Both Sides Now (Sunday 28, Performance)

Both Sides Now is described as “a theatrical concert inspired by the music and relationship of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen.” The cabaret-style performance brings their iconic songs and story to life. Thanks to stars/performers Robbie Schaefer and Danielle Wertz, the show weaves classics like “A Case of You,” “Hallelujah” and “Suzanne” into a moving night of music and storytelling. You can see it Sunday, June 28 at 8:30 p.m. at KiMo Theatre (423 Central Ave. NW) Tickets (ampconcerts.org/event/461625/both-sides-now) run $17 to$60.

Hillary Duff: Lucky Me Tour (Thursday 2, Music)

Early 2000s kids, raised on a steady diet of Nickelodeon (particularly the sitcom “Lizzie McGuire”), will be exceptionally excited to see that actress/singer Hillary Duff is coming to Albuquerque for a stop on her Lucky Me Tour. The seven-time Kids Choice Award-winner headlines a concert at Isleta Amphitheater (5601 University Blvd. SE) on Thursday, July 2 starting at 7 p.m. Tickets (ticketmaster.com/hilary-duff-the-lucky-me-tour-albuquerque-new-mexico-07-02-2026/event/1E00645A80CB5D67) run $43 to $245 depending on your level of Millenial nostalgia.
