ALBUQUERQUE – New Mexicans ready to lower their utility bills and take control of their energy future can do both at the Third Annual Earth Day Festival, happening Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park. This year’s theme — Our Power, Our Planet — is more than a slogan. It’s a call to action.

For one day, families, homeowners, renters, and business owners can connect directly with experts who will show them how to access $500 to $20,000 in available tax credits, rebates, and energy savings programs. On-site energy guides will provide personalized direction, helping attendees navigate incentives and connect with trusted vendors tailored to their specific needs.

Tickets are free throughout March. In April, admission is $5 for adults and free for
children 12 and under. Tickets are available at EarthDayFestivalNM.org.

Beyond savings, the festival delivers a full day of interactive experiences and family-friendly fun, including:

 Test drives of the latest electric vehicles
 Hourly talks from environmental and energy leaders
 Student art exhibits
 A youth entrepreneur showcase
 Birds of prey and rescue puppies
 Food trucks and live entertainment

The Earth Day Festival brings together community leaders, clean energy innovators, nonprofits, and local businesses — all focused on practical solutions that make sustainability accessible and affordable for every New Mexican.

Sponsors include Nusenda, Bernalillo County, PNM, Gardenswartz Realty, Winrock Town Center, Affordable Solar, Waste Management, the City of Albuquerque, Sierra Club Rio Grande Chapter, 350, NewMexico.News and SUNNY505.
