The Town of Edgewood commission will discuss, consider and take action on a proposed pipeline reroute, road equipment issues, water rights, and finding an interim town manager during Wednesday’s meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Following Nina McCracken’s departure from the town manager position at the last meeting, the town discussed her replacement at a special meeting last week. The specifics of the limited personnel matters were not immediately available, but Mayor Ken Brennan said the resignation was involuntary. The Town of Edgewood declined to comment, and McCracken’s lawyer did not respond in time for publication.
During the open session, the town clerk will present town updates, including an insurance error in which some former Town of Edgewood employees were still enrolled in a benefits program. The error has since been fixed, according to the agenda packet.
New business includes discussion and possible action on a reroute of the Marathon Pipeline, which was also discussed during closed session at the previous meeting. The commission will also consider a proposed road equipment release.
The final piece of new business is the presentation of the Wayfinding Design Survey results. The survey welcomed residents to share design cues for the Town of Edgewood, with a prize for winners.
There are three items in the closed session: discussion of a water or property purchase, personnel matters for replacing the town manager, and personnel matters for the planning and zoning manager.
In the regular session, the commission will consider and take action on those three matters.
The agenda also highlights future events, including the Twinkle Light Parade and tree lighting on Dec. 5.
