The Cedar Crest Sunday Market will host its final event of the year on Oct. 26, featuring Halloween-themed activities and a costume contest.
The market, held in the parking lot next to Triangle Grocery from noon to 4 p.m., will include trick-or-treating at vendor booths and encourage families to attend in costume.
Organizers said they are planning an expanded event to make up for September’s market, which was disrupted by a severe hailstorm in the area.
“We are making up for it and going BIG!” organizers announced Friday on social media.
The event will feature local vendors offering groceries, food trucks, handmade goods and other merchandise. Activities will include an animal rescue petting zoo and live blues music.
Market organizers said they may consider a holiday market later in the year, depending on attendance and community response. They also plan to gauge interest in continuing the Sunday markets next year.
The Cedar Crest Sunday Market has operated seasonally, providing a venue for local vendors and a community gathering space in the East Mountain area.
Families are encouraged to bring children for the trick-or-treat activities and costume contest. Parking will be available at the Triangle Grocery location.
