The Albuquerque BioPark will host its annual Family Picnic Night on Friday, August 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Botanic Garden and Aquarium, featuring live music from local bands and family-friendly activities.

The event will include performances on the Festival Green Stage starting at 5:15 p.m. with Picoso, followed by Spanish Broom at 6:30 p.m. and Joseph General & High Vibration at 7:30 p.m. Attendees can explore the garden’s pathways, view the aquarium exhibits, and participate in interactive Discovery Stations throughout the evening.

“Family Picnic Night mixes great local music, the beauty of nature, and a chance to connect,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “It’s a safe and fun way for folks to enjoy a summer evening together.”

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Shark Reef Café and special snack stands, though visitors may bring their own picnic meals. Additional activities include free face painting in the Ceremonial Garden.

The event requires paid admission, with tickets available online. iHeart Radio is sponsoring the event.

Parking at the Botanic Garden and Aquarium is limited, but free parking will be available at the zoo with complimentary SunVan shuttle service running throughout the event. The shuttles are wheelchair accessible and allow strollers, lawn chairs and coolers.

Glass containers, alcohol, tents, canopies and pets are prohibited at the BioPark.
