Thousands of New Mexicans are expected to join a nationwide protest against what organizers call the Trump administration’s “growing authoritarian regime” at the “No Kings Day” rally on Saturday, June 14.
The demonstration will be held at Mariposa Basin Park, located at 4900 Kachina St. NW, and will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The rally is part of a coordinated national effort with demonstrations occurring across the country. Organizers state the event is a “national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption.”
Keynote speaker U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury, noted for her vocal stance on the DOGE Committee in Congress, will address the crowd.
The “No Kings Day” rally is being organized by several local groups including Albuquerque Indivisible, Sandoval County Indivisible, Rio Grande Indivisible, Third Act NM and 50501.
The event will also coincide with Flag Day. Organizers said they are committed to nonviolent action and encourage participants to de-escalate potential confrontations.
Law enforcement be at the ready! These protests are hardly ‘peaceful’.
We can choose to be peaceful, and we must. Non-violence will always win in the end.
Look around for the last few months. The left always, and I mean always, resorts to violence.

This rally must be peaceful. The more attention brought to the sleepy mainstreem media, the better. The administration deploys their own media to exploit the protesters. They are violent as part of their ploy to divide us. Peaceful it will be.
