Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa has completed a $15 million renovation of its 327 guestrooms, the resort announced Tuesday. Located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe on the Santa Ana Pueblo, the resort’s upgraded rooms now feature designs inspired by local woven fabrics, pueblo pottery, and the colors of chile peppers and blue corn.
“We are proud to offer our guests a home away from home that not only provides a luxurious and relaxing stay, but also honors the deep cultural heritage of the Santa Ana Pueblo,” said General Manager Claudia Wattenberg.
Updated rooms reflect the hotel’s scenic location, intertwining cultural elements and Pueblo-style design with modern comforts and amenities. The resort partnered with Los Angeles-based architect Houston Tyner and interior design firm Parker-Torres of Sudbury, Massachusetts for the project.
New bathrooms offer spa-inspired experiences with features like sleep marble countertops and backlit mirrors. The resort also refreshed its corridors with new carpeting and textured wall coverings.
To celebrate the renovation, Hyatt Regency Tamaya has launched a new Staycation offer exclusively for New Mexico residents. Locals can save up to 20 percent on room rates for stays between Sundays and Thursdays.
“This special offer is our way of honoring and celebrating the state we are lucky to call home, and making it even easier for locals to indulge in a luxurious getaway close to home,” Wattenberg said.
Locals also receive 20 percent off services at Tamaya Mist Spa & Salon (Monday-Thursday), as well as 20 percent off at Corn Maiden on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Corn Maiden will re-open for the season on May 18. All guests must present a valid state I.D. when redeeming discounts.
The Hyatt Regency Tamaya offers experiences such as horseback riding and cultural activities led by tribe members. The resort also features a Cultural Learning Center.
