Bernalillo County and Sandoval County, in partnership with several organizations, are again offering the “Take a Ride on Us” program this weekend.

This initiative aims to team up to keep the roads safe in anticipation of the Cinco de Mayo celebrations and to provide the community with a safe means of sober transportation to avoid accidents and facilitate access to safer options.

From 10 a.m. on May 2 to 2 a.m. on May 6, residents of Bernalillo and Sandoval counties can claim the Uber code NMCINCO25 for $10 off two rides (excluding tips and Uber Eats).

The offer is valid for the first 2,500 riders on a first-come, first-served basis

The initiative, launched by Cumulus Media Albuquerque in 2017, has supported over 61,000 safe rides over the years and plans for that number to keep growing.

Partners include Bernalillo County Department of Behavioral Health Services, Sandoval and Santa Fe counties, Glasheen Valles and Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, ENDWI, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
