Torrance County residents looking to get a jump on Election Day can vote this month. 

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Early voting starts Oct. 8 and closes Nov. 2. Voter registration closes on Oct. 8, but same-day voter registration will be available in person at any voting location during early voting as well as on Election Day. The last day to request an absentee ballot is Oct. 22. Absentee ballots can be requested by visiting www.nmvote.org.

Voters may vote at any voting convenience center in Torrance County. 

While early voting starts Oct. 8 only in the Torrance County Administrative Offices, at 205 S. Ninth Street in Estancia,  expanded early in-person voting will begin at the Moriarty Civic Center, at 202 Broadway Ave., on Oct. 19. This polling location will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Nov. 1. 

Election Day voting can be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sample ballots can be found by visiting the county clerk’s website:  https://whttps://www.torrancecountynm.org/departments/county-clerk.
