According to the BCSO, the suspect is expected to be booked on charges including intentional child abuse resulting in death, child abuse with great bodily harm, aggravated battery on a household member with great bodily harm and tampering with evidence.

Sheriff John Allen described the scene as “one of the most horrific” first responders will ever encounter. “Our hearts are with the victims and their loved ones.”

Investigators said  there is no known prior criminal history for the suspect and no recent call history associated with the address or phone number in the past 12 months. The investigation remains ongoing.
