The Town of Edgewood Commission will deliberate on employment, appointment and discipline of several town employees on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
According to the agenda, new business will include reviewing and taking action on a location for retired flags to be dropped off at Town Hall, reviewing a request for Marathon Pipeline to reroute its existing Edgewood pipeline, and reviewing the employment of current and future staff members.
During closed session, commissioners will discuss the employment of both Town Manager Nina McCracken and the community liaison, Linda Burke. At the most recent regular meeting, commissioners spent hours deliberating on McCracken’s employment during the closed session. They said the Oct. 28 meeting will include reviewing McCracken’s goals and expectations during the closed session.
The discussion is closed due to “Limited Personnel Matters- the discussion of hiring, promotion, demotion, dismissal, assignment or resignation of or the investigation of complaints or charges against any individual public employee,” according to the agenda. The agenda cites the same reasoning for closing the session to discuss personnel matters as they relate to Burke.
During the open session, the commission plans to consider and take action on the job description and compensation for a new alternative municipal judge position. It will also consider and take action on the appointment of Diane Stearley to the Economic Development Board.
Also during open session, Marathon Gas will present to commissioners a request for information on the route of its current pipeline, which it plans to reroute. Commissioners will also consider unlocking extra doors in the Town Hall Offices, as well as planning and taking action on holding regular “meet and greets” with constituents, according to the agenda.
The meeting will be held in the Edgewood Town Hall Commission Chambers at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.
