The Town of Edgewood Commission will move to discuss staffing, budget adjustments, zoning ordinances and maintenance on Range Road during its regular meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The commission will review and take action on Resolution 2025-039, which will adjust the previously approved budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, according to the agenda.

The resolution, if passed, would remove $188,100 from a fire protection account’s original budget of $250,000 and put the funds toward other departments, which are more in need of funds because of increases in employees or more spending than expected.

New business on the agenda includes a call for public hearings for zoning ordinance approvals. Commissioners will also discuss maintenance and future upgrades to Range Road. They will also review and take action on an engineering agreement with CDM Smith.

There are two items in the closed session, including discussion of “property or water rights” in the Hillcrest Master Plan.

The second closed-session item is regarding the town manager, Nina McCracken. The session is closed due to “Limited Personnel Matters- the discussion of hiring, promotion, demotion, dismissal, assignment or resignation of or the investigation of complaints or charges against any individual public employee,” according to the agenda.

Commissioners will close the meeting by outlining upcoming town events, including a multi-day library scavenger hunt starting on Oct. 21 and a 5k run on Nov. 1.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Edgewood Town Hall Commission Chambers, with a livestream option available on Youtube.
