The Estancia Public Library, in partnership with the Estancia Fire/EMS Department and Estancia Police Department, will host a memorial service on Sept. 11 to honor the victims and first responder heroes of the terrorist attacks in 2001.

The commemorative event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Estancia Public Library. The service will pay tribute to those who lost their lives at the crash site of Flight 93, the Pentagon and the World Trade Center towers 24 years ago.

The memorial gathering brings together local emergency services and the community library to remember both the civilians who perished and the first responders who demonstrated extraordinary courage during the national tragedy.

Refreshments will be served during the two-hour event, providing an opportunity for community members to come together in remembrance and reflection.

The Sept. 11 attacks claimed nearly 3,000 lives across four locations: the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Flight 93 crashed after passengers fought back against the hijackers.

Community members are invited to attend this solemn occasion to honor the memory of those lost and recognize the heroism displayed by first responders on that tragic day.
