New Mexico Goth Fest 2025 (Fri. 29, Music)

The goths are coming out in force this weekend for New Mexico Goth Fest 2025. Aug. 29, 30 and 31, Insideout (622 Central Ave. SW) and Launchpad (618 Central Ave. SW) will be packing their stages with bands both local and national. On Friday, headliners include The Discussion (Los Angeles) and Nitemail (Phoenix). Saturday, it’s 13th Sky (Los Angeles) and Voicecoil (Denver). Sunday closes the lid with Curse Mackey (Austin) and Sine (Austin). There will be a dark goods marketplace, merch tables, DJs and plenty more bands to fill out the nights. Doors open at 6 p.m. each night, and festivities run into the wee small hours. Tickets (tickets.holdmyticket.com/tickets/448512) are $38.89. This is a 21+ event.
City of Angels (Fri. 29, Performance)

Albuquerque Little Theater (224 San Pasquale Ave. SW) goes dark starting this weekend with the jazz-filled film noir musical City of Angels. This Tony Award-winning stage show follows the writing of a hardboiled detective story — while the writer’s real life starts to mirror his gritty and glamorous fictional world. The show starts Friday, Aug. 29 and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. until Sept. 14. Tickets (ci.ovationtix.com/36941/production/1236740) will set you back $35.30 to $38.30 for adults.
Harvest Wine and Music Festival (Saturday 29, Festival)

Wake up your senses by spending Labor Day weekend with some wine for your lips and some music for your ears! Harvest Wine and Music Festival takes over Balloon Fiesta Park (5500 Balloon Fiesta Parkway NE) Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30 and 31 and Monday, Sept. 1. Gates are open noon to 6 p.m. daily. Sample exceptional wines from more than 20 award-winning vineyards while soaking in the rhythms of New Mexico’s best bands. Among this year’s musical talents are Levi Platero, Lindy Vision, One More Silver Dollar, Innastate, JIR Project, High Desert Playboys and more. Sounds like a fine note on which to end the summer.
