Edgewood residents can watch bull riding competitions and youth rodeo events Saturday as the 5th Annual Bull Bash On Old 66 brings professional riders and $8,000 in prize money to the community.

The event takes place Saturday at 2234 Historic Route 66 in Edgewood, featuring a youth rodeo at 10 a.m. and main competition at 6 p.m. Local families can attend both events, with the main show including bull riding competition, sheep and steer riding demonstrations and the Red Dirt Trickriders specialty act.

According to promotional materials for the event, riders will compete for their share of $8,000 in prize money during the main evening competition. The morning youth rodeo will showcase the top five sheep and steer riders, who will also perform during the evening show.

The event continues a five-year tradition of bringing professional rodeo to Edgewood’s stretch of Historic Route 66.

Adult tickets cost $15, with children 12 and under receiving $10 tickets. Children 5 and under attend free.
