As the back-to-school season approaches, the Edgewood Police Department is stepping up to support students and families in need with a community-wide School Supply Donation Drive. The department is encouraging residents to help local kids start the school year strong by donating essential school supplies.
Donations will be accepted at two drop-off locations:
- Edgewood Police Department at 21 Main Street, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Edgewood Town Hall at 171 NM-344, open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The department is requesting new items, including notebooks, pencils, crayons, glue, backpacks, hand sanitizers, tissues, and more. A full list of needed supplies includes: binders, scissors, rulers, calculators, Expo markers, colored pencils, Clorox wipes, and pencil cases, among others.
In addition to school supplies, monetary donations are also welcome and will go toward purchasing additional items to meet student needs.
