Flash flooding across burn scars in and around Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs on Tuesday sent what local officials describe as a 20-foot wall of water through the small mountain communities. Three persons, including two children, were confirmed dead.
Locals filmed the rising waters as people and animals alike quickly sought higher and safer ground.

The morning after

Hopefully the Republican County Commissioners will call Trump and DEMAND aid and monies owed from last flood! Can’t blame Democratic Party, the entire Lincoln County is run by the Republican Party.
Stop politicizing this tragic weather event….and be grateful it occurred during the daylight when the residents and emergency personnel could respond as quickly as they did.
