The Placitas Community Library is inviting children ages Pre-K through 11 and their families to participate in its 2025 In-Person Summer Reading Program. The program, themed “Color Our World: All About Art and Artists,” will be held on Saturdays from 1-3 PM.
The summer reading program will feature various art-related activities. Scheduled events include a collage activity on July 12, presented by members of the library’s art committee. On July 19, Kay Naranjo will present a rock painting activity. The program will conclude on July 26 with a visit from Explora, featuring colorful experiments.
In addition to the planned activities, children are invited to participate in a summer reading challenge with prizes, raffles, and new books given away each week. The program aims to encourage reading and learning throughout the summer.
