The Sandoval County Board of Commissioners is set to hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, June 11 at 6  p.m. at the Administrative Building Commission Chambers in Bernalillo. The session will feature special recognitions, a community-focused presentation and several items for approval, including a legal services agreement.

The meeting will open with a heartfelt tribute to two longtime public servants. Peter Madalena will be honored for his 25 years of dedicated service to Sandoval County residents, while Roseanne Gomez will be recognized for her 34-year tenure with the County’s Public Works Department. Gomez is scheduled to retire at the end of June.

Commissioners will also hear a presentation from Brittany Johnson, Program Director and Agriculture/4-H Extension Agent, providing updates on local agricultural and youth development programs.

The agenda includes a vote to approve a professional services agreement with Holcomb Law Offices. Under the proposed contract, the firm will advise the county on employment and labor matters and offer legal representation as needed.

The meeting can be livestreamed via the Sandoval County website. The next Commission meeting is scheduled for June 25.
