Thousands of New Mexicans are expected to join a nationwide protest against what organizers call the Trump administration’s “growing authoritarian regime” at the “No Kings Day” rally on Saturday, June 14.
The demonstration will be held at Mariposa Basin Park, located at 4900 Kachina St. NW, and will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The rally is part of a coordinated national effort with demonstrations occurring across the country. Organizers state the event is a “national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption.”
Keynote speaker U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury, noted for her vocal stance on the DOGE Committee in Congress, will address the crowd.
The “No Kings Day” rally is being organized by several local groups including Albuquerque Indivisible, Sandoval County Indivisible, Rio Grande Indivisible, Third Act NM and 50501.
The event will also coincide with Flag Day. Organizers said they are committed to nonviolent action and encourage participants to de-escalate potential confrontations.

What a crook of shit. All these snowflakes think President Trump is a King?!? Well, we Patriots voted him in office to do exactly what he’s doing.
You got that right Sparky, “Crook of Shit!”
“Patriots!?!?”
Nope!
‘FREAK’N TRAITORS!!!”
Trump did not create the violence. He is enforcing the law. Antifa agitators did by attacking ICE employees, government buildings and blocking roadways. It is a sad state of affairs when terrorists are glorified over law enforcement.
