THE SEVEN: When Nobody’s Watching (Thursday 6/5 Performance)

THE SEVEN, FUSION Theatre Company’s annual showcase of short theatrical works gets underway Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. This year’s 19th annual lineup of seven, 10-minute plays includes: “My Favorite Anthill” by Austin Steinmetz (El Cajon, CA), “Sunday in the Bagel Shop With Sam and Dave” by Mike Bencivenga (Astoria, NY), “Good Romans” by Baylee Shlichtman (Santa Ana, CA), “Second Chance” by Olivia D. Dawson (Decatur, GA), “Waiting” by JD Otsuka (Albuquerque, NM), “Go Fish” by Marilyn Zerlak (Farmington Hills, MI) and “Sex, Lies and Styrofoam” by Arianna Rose (Delray Beach, FL). Performances continue Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $40 general admission, $35 seniors and $20 students. Dogfight (Friday 6/6 Performance)

Musical Theatre Southwest (6320 Domingo Rd NE, Ste. B) is staging the emotionally charged musical Dogfight, with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (the team behind Dear Evan Hansen). Set in San Francisco on the eve of the Vietnam war, the story follows a group of Marines competing in a cruel game to bring the “ugliest” date to a party before shipping out of the country. Catch it this Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. If you miss it, you’ve still got the chance on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8 at 2 p.m., Friday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15 at 2 p.m. General admission is $33, students/seniors $30. Pride fest 2025 (Saturday 6/7 Festival)

Albuquerque’s annual PrideFest starts off early with a colorful parade up Central Ave. in Nob Hill. It begins at 10 a.m. at Girard and marches, dances and otherwise winds its way East to San Mateo. (So, If you aren’t participating or spectating, stay away from Central that morning.) The party picks up in earnest at Downtown’s Civic Plaza (1 Civic Plaza) that afternoon. Gates open at 2 p.m. with entertainment on the main stage by “Dragula” winner Landon Cider, Broadway star Frenchie Davis, “Drag Race” legend Victoria “Pork Chop” Parker and more! There will be vendors, food trucks, music and (if experience has taught us anything) some fabulous outfits. Tickets are $20 for adults or $15 for kids 6 to 18.
