Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull is going on strike (he hopes) for a good cause.

ARCA’s 14th Annual Bowl-A-Thon Saturday includes Hull and other civic leaders hitting the lanes in a fundraiser for ARCA, an organization that assists individuals with intellectual, developmental, and cognitive disabilities.

“This event is more than just bowling,” ARCA Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Maldonado Greenwood said. “It’s a celebration of inclusion and possibility.”

She said the energy, the joy, the support shown make a meaningful difference in the lives of the organization’s clients.

The event will take place at Tenpins & More, 1416 Deborah Road SE, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m..

This year’s theme is a beach party. The day will include a silent auction; prizes include vacations to Bali, Tuscany, Ireland and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, along with local adventures and fine dining. Door Prizes, and a luau lunch are also part of the festivities.
Anyone wishing to register may do so here.
