The Tijeras Village Council will discuss repairs needed at one of its wells when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.

The repairs needed at well 3 are anticipated to cost around $25,000.

Well 3 is a relatively new well that was constructed using capital outlay funds and a grant from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation a few years ago. The well was drilled when it became apparent that Well 1 wasn’t going to be a viable source of water in the future and a new well was needed to continue providing drinking water to both residents and businesses in Tijeras.

The agenda also includes discussion of a firetruck donation and a local election resolution.

The Tijeras Village Council meets on the first and third Monday of each month at the Village Hall, 10 Tijeras Ave.
