The Rio Rancho Players Community Theatre is gearing up for a summer return with a new production.
To kick things off, the Players will host two new membership/pre-audition workshop recruitment meetings. These meetings will be held on Saturday, June 14 and Saturday, June 21, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at their rehearsal/performance space, located at 1650A Rio Rancho Blvd., SE, next to Defined Fitness’ new pickleball facility.
Auditions for the upcoming production are scheduled for Saturday, June 28, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the same location. Rehearsals will begin in early July, with ten performances set to commence in mid-October. The Rio Rancho Players welcome individuals of all ages, from middle school to senior citizens, to participate either as actors or as part of the production team. Experience is a plus, but not required.
The Rio Rancho Players are part of Rio Rancho Creative Crossroads (RRCC), a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2013. RRCC’s mission is to bring high-quality, accessible arts opportunities to the City of Vision. Its programs include the Rio Rancho Youth Chorus, Children’s Chorus of Rio Rancho, Rio Rancho Art on the Mesa and the Squeaky Shoe Project.
