Torrance County has announced its 2025 Summer Enrichment Internship Program, which will offer paid work experience to students aged 14 to 18. Interns will work 20 hours per week at $13 an hour with employers throughout the county.

The program aims to connect youth with meaningful work experiences, career exploration, and adult mentorship. Students must be enrolled at Moriarty-Edgewood Schools, Estancia Schools, Mountainair Schools, or EVCA Schools, and provide their transportation. Students under 16 must obtain a work permit.

Key features of the program include an eight-week structured program, monitoring by a program coordinator, and partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, and non-profits. The program is funded through grant funding.
