ABQ RIDE is bringing back its Summer Resource Fairs to the Alvarado Transportation Center for the second straight year. These events aim to provide the public with “info on the go” as they utilize the transit hub in downtown Albuquerque.
The fairs will feature various resources, including Open Space maps, recovery and housing materials, community center program calendars, and sign-ups for swimming, summer reading programs, and nutrition classes.
Two events will be held each month on Wednesdays throughout the summer at the ATC, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on May 14, May 28, June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 13, and August 27.
“There are enriching public resources at your fingertips,” Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller said. “Fairs like this are a great way for the community to connect with City programs that can be a game-changer for families – let’s make this a great summer with activities, classes, and other Albuquerque gems that might make the coming season a little easier and certainly more fun.”
The fairs will be held under the covered rotunda near the ATC’s historic fountain along 1st Street between Central and Gold. Information tables will be available from City of Albuquerque departments, nonprofits and local businesses. Free parking is provided at the 2nd and Gold parking structure.

By design, these resource fairs offer something for everyone and help highlight the incredible programming available to the public,” Transit Director Leslie Keener said. “I guarantee that anyone who attends will learn about opportunities they never knew existed – and I hope they take advantage of them, especially transit services.”
