The Cedro Peak Trail Run brought runners to the Tijeras area on Saturday to compete in races including a 50 kilometer — approximately 31 mile — race and a 25 kilometer — 15 mile “heavy half marathon.”

The races began and ended at the Oak Flat Picnic Area south of Tijeras.

The courses wind through meadows and pinon and ponderosa pine forests and feature rocky sections and steep climbs.

A total of 58 runners finished the 50K race with the fastest runner, Adam Doe of Albuquerque, completing the course with a time of 4:08:48. The top female runner, Louise Hill-Stirling of Albuquerque, finished the course with a time of 5:18:30.

Meanwhile, 86 runners finished the 25K race with the fastest runner, Jesse Armijo of Albuquerque, completing the course with a time of 1:49:56. The top female runner, Andrea McArdle of Albuquerque, finished the race with a time of 1:57:38.
