It will be a busy Easter weekend in Edgewood with two events at Venus Park..

The Town of Edgewood’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Teen Advisory Council are again partnering for the town’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday from 1- 3 p.m.The free event will feature activities, the Daily Bread food truck, Dole soft serve ice cream and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.

Before the egg hunt, Edgewood’s Parks & Recreation Department and the Teen Advisory Council are hosting a Bunny Hop Run/Walk at 9 a.m.. The event includes a 5K run and a 1.3-mile walk, open to all community members. Prizes will be awarded to different age groups. Runners will receive official bibs and times. The race will begin and end at Venus Park, with the 5K course running cross-country west and north of the park. Walkers will follow a separate 1.3-mile path.
