U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union, a New Mexico credit union with more than 95,000 members and 11 branches, was recently awarded platinum-level distinction for its workplace policies by Family Friendly New Mexico, a statewide initiative developed to recognize employers that have adopted policies that give New Mexico businesses an advantage in recruiting and retaining the best employees.
“U.S. Eagle is thrilled to receive such a distinguished honor as we place high importance on having family friendly policies and procedures in our workplace. First, it’s the right way to treat our fellow staff members, and more, it helps us to attract and retain the best employees,” said Maggie Tannen, chief human resources officer at U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union. “Investing in employee education and employee development is good for our organization, good for the employee, and good for our communities,” The credit union has received this honor every year since 2017.
According to a press release, the Family Friendly New Mexico initiative offers training, support and resources to businesses on how to implement family friendly policies; provides recognition to businesses and organizations that offer their employees family friendly benefits; and, acts as a resource and clearinghouse of information for businesses and community leaders as they develop policies on issues such as paid family leave and childcare assistance.
