Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa announced Gerry Trumper as Director of Engineering Nov. 19. In his new role, Trumper oversees the day-to-day operations of the resort’s engineering department, ensuring that the resort’s facilities and equipment are maintained, from the on-site pools to golf course and spa.

“We are thrilled to welcome Gerry Trumper to the Hyatt Regency Tamaya family,” said Claudia Wattenberg, General Manager at Tamaya. “Trumper’s extensive experience working in hospitality engineering and his dedication to ensuring everything is working properly for our guests makes him an invaluable member of the Hyatt Regency Tamaya team.”

According to a press release, Trumper has extensive knowledge and background managing electrical, mechanical equipment, and maintenance procedures with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked at several hotels and destinations throughout the southwest, from being the Director of Facilities at the Strat Hotel & Casino, to serving as the Area Chief Engineer at the Embassy Suites by Hilton both of which are located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
