As a dedicated constituent of Senate District 9, I have thoroughly researched the various candidates vying for office. Among the diverse array of options, one individual distinctly stands out: Audrey Trujillo.

A resident of Senate District 9 for 25 years, Audrey is not only a committed mother and wife but also an accomplished professional. She holds multiple degrees from the University of New Mexico, including a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor’s in Spanish and Portuguese, and a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Justice Administration.

Audrey also operated her own state licensed childcare business for over 12 years.

Audrey’s extensive community involvement reflects her dedication to service. She has served as the PTA President and Treasurer at Corrales Elementary School, and as the PTO President at Taylor Middle School, where she facilitated anti-bullying initiatives. Additionally, she has volunteered for the local Harvest Festival in partnership with the Kiwanis Club and held the position of Committee Chair for local Boy Scouts, PAC 702 and PAC 703. She’s also been an active participant in the Sandoval County Commission meetings, the Corrales Village Council meetings, Albuquerque City Council meetings, Rio Rancho City Council meetings, as well as the Town of Placitas meetings with the Water Conservation Board and attended many other local government bodies.

Her community experience is impressive, and her campaign efforts are particularly noteworthy. Audrey is the only Republican candidate advocating for an independent redistricting commission, supporting semi-open primaries, and actively engaging with our Native American communities.

In summary, Audrey Trujillo is the candidate who embodies the values and vision needed for Senate District 9.
