Even though Election Day is still a month away, early voting has begun and Bernalillo County voters can start casting ballots as soon as possible as next week..
Early voting will be available at the County Clerk’s Annex, 1500 Lomas Blvd NW, Suite A, from Tuesday Oct. 8 through Nov. 2. Voters can make their selections in person or drop off their completed absentee ballots at the annex. Same-day registration for new voters or those needing to update their current registration will also be available.
Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Clerk’s Annex will be closed on Oct. 14.
Beginning Oct. 19, early voting — with same-day registration — will be expanded to 20 sites across the county. Most will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The sites will also be open on Election Day, Nov. 5.
The County Clerk’s Office will also have its mobile voting unit at the State Fairgrounds, 300 San Pedro Drive NE, from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
