The Friends of Estancia Valley Animals are hosting Woofstock, a multiagency pet adoption event set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 21 at Venus Park, 181 N.M. 344 in Edgewood.

The nonprofit has promoted responsible pet ownership through education, low-cost spay and neuter events, and adoption fairs in the Edgewood area for over 12 years.

According to the Friends of Estancia Valley Animals, more than 300 dogs and cats have been adopted at Woofstock events. This year’s Woofstock will have vendors, raffles, food trucks and live music by Americana/folk/cover band Brightsmith and others. The event includes face painting for humans and an opportunity for dogs to create their own paintings.

Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at Woofstock.
