The annual holiday Giving Tree Gift Drive in Corrales needs more gifts for those in need this winter season.
The fundraiser, held each year, in run by the Corrales Fire Dept. Currently they have over 25 families on the tree with well over 130 children who have basic needs on the tree from socks to coats. These children also have wish list items on the tree. With your help the fire dept. will supply a good holiday meal along with food extra to assist the families while school is on break a long and with much needed clothing and presents.
In addition to collecting clothing, the Fire Dept. is accepting food donations. The food drive will continue through December 19 and the food can be dropped if at the Fire Station and Village Mercantile has a collection site for food as well.
The Giving Tree is located at Village Hall 4324 Corrales Road. If you have questions or need a gift tag but cannot make it in to grab one from the tree, call 505-702-4182.
Monetary donations are also taken, checks made out to KCCF (Kiwanians Club of Corrales) with Fire Drive in the memo can be mailed or dropped off at Corrales Fire 4920 Corrales Road.
