It’s Halloween, and the perfect time for the 6th annual Before I Die Festival. The festival runs through October 21st. One of the stops is at French Funerals and Cremations on Unser Blvd. in Rio Rancho.
“Before I Die Festivals provide unique and innovative ways to entertain while educating about end-of-life issues, to get people to plan for our 100% mortality rate,” said Gail Rubin, festival coordinator, Certified Thanatologist and The Doyenne of Death.
The event features speakers on topics such as estate and financial planning as well as fun topics like cemetery tours and Newly Dead Bingo games for couples. Daily themes are Money and Mourning, Aging and Mortality, Cremation and Burial, Greening Funerals, Discussing Death Won’t Kill You, and Murder and Mayhem at Historic Fairview Cemetery.
